2009 Jacksonville 48 Hour Film Entry

48 Hour Filmmaker: Jacksonville 2009

This was our entry into the 2009 Jacksonville 48 Film contest. It was our second year in the competition, and it was a fun weekend of mosquitoes and torrential down pour but in the end we pulled it off. Marc Boese had this idea that we should use a puppet as our lead actor and let the hilarity ensue. I helped write and was key grip/P.A/All around helping hand. Also had a small role as the police officer in the end.

Valentines Day Shootout

Me and Ezra of Freewise fotography set out on Valentines Day and met with several couples for a photo session that lasted most of the day. We survived the constant rain all day and this is what we came up with.

Etcha A Sketch

One night I was searching for something and I came across my old etch a sketch as a kid. I immediately picked it up and started using it, literally I didn't even knock the dust off(as you can see in the video). I grabbed my camera and this happened. It turned out pretty cool, I plan on trying again sometime.

The Story Writer

For a mid-term a couple of semesters ago we were given an exam where we had to use someone else's script. This is what I made from it, unfortunately there is no completed ending due to shooting restraints and we have not gone back and shot it again, so this is the best with what I had. I directed, edited and produced it. It was written by Andrea D MGe'

Class Project

We had an in class exam video that we had to come up with the idea, shoot it, and edit it in about 3 hours. We were given the Mortal Kombat song and had to incorporate a pitching wedge and a level. This is what we made.

Absentee

Unfortunately this summer I was out for a month with some back problems and had to miss out on the Orlando 48 hour film contest, which of course all my friends took home best film, and a slew of other awards, I think 8 out of 20 total awards and like I said they won it. Either way I am still proud to be a part of this group of talented people, this is called Sally 58' Baby.

Original 48 Hour film contest -Jacksonville

This is the first contest we entered in May 2008. We had the same scenario as before, 48 hours to write shoot and edit. We made it to the finals with this piece but didn't bring home any awards unfortunately. .I played the boyfriend on the phone and was boom op/P.A.
