Demo Reel 2014

Here is my latest Demo Reel. Neat!

Burdens

Here is a video that my writer's group wrote and I directed. It turned out great. We made it for a competition that NBC was putting on. Although we did not win it was a great experience and it turned out wonderfully.

Goodnight

Another 48 hour film project me and the guys made. I wrote it and did some audio recording. It won runner up for Best Film. Maybe next year. Another fun film with the friends.

American Foundation for Suicide Prevention

A video I made for the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention in Jacksonville Beach, Fl in September 2012.

HAS Inklings - Rated 17 years and older. NSFW

We started a writers group in April of this year. We meet up, brainstorm on ideas, read scripts aloud that we wrote that week, and just goof off and have a good time. Along the way we decided we should also start shooting the projects we are writing. After a few months we set out and shot our very first short with the group. I was the only one with actual experience, so it was a bit of a teaching lesson along the way, but the group stepped up their game and did an amazing job helping. It was a fun time and I look forward to many more shoots with them.

Horton Actor Studio Testimonial

A couple testimonials I did for Horton Actors Studio. Acting Student Kim Turton's testimonial Springtime Acting Camp

Horton Actors Studio

I work with the Horton Actors Studio a lot and I helped teach a demo reel class recently. We gave the students their choice of scripts and filmed simple, short scenes that they could put on their demo reels. We did this for the people who don't have anything at all on their demo reel, so this gives them something to start on. Between myself, Joanna C. Horton(Acting Director) and Scott Peeler(Acting Teacher/Actor) wearing all of the hats on set, we managed to come up with a damn good product for the time we did it in. The scripts were written by Scott Peeler, Sound by Joanna C. Horton, I co-directed them with Joanna C. Horton and I was also camera op/D.P It was fun class.

Manifesto

Jacksonville 48 hour film competition came and went and we had another very successful year. We came home with runner up for best film. This happens to be our 3rd year in a row getting runner up. I won my second award for sound design. This coming after winning it last year as well. All in all I say we a very lucky group of friends. I was the sound engineer.

Go Green Competition

In February we entered a totally different competition than we are used to. It was a Go Green themed competition. It was still similar in that we still had to write, shoot and edit a movie in 48 hours, but instead of the usual pick a genre from a hat type deal, we got to pick ourselves between a group of categories. We ended up getting "Save the animals." I was the sound engineer in this as well.

Orlando 48 Hour Film "Best Film."

In the summer of last year (2010), after being slighted in the Jacksonville 48 Hour film, we decided to take on the Orlando challenge. We got dark comedy. We ended up winning a lot of awards and taking home Best Film. It then went on to be in the Miami International Film Festival for winning the Orlando 48 Hour competition. I was the sound engineer in this.

2010 48 Hour National Film Challenge

Me and a group of 3 friends competed in a National 48 hour film challenge and made it to the top 19 finalists in the Nation. We didn't win any awards for this piece but it was gratifying enough to be a finalist in a National competition. We didn't have our normal group of friends helping on this project due to another shoot, so me, Marc Boese, Andrea McGee, and Chris Gully met up at my house and got to work. It turned out to be a fun ass weekend, and not really work/competition. I think that is why it turned out so well. Me and Boese were the cinematographers/Director of Photography and I had a non speaking role in the piece.
.

We all sat around and came up with the story together and Andrea put it on paper. One of my fav's so far!

2009 Jacksonville 48 Hour Film Entry

48 Hour Filmmaker: Jacksonville 2009

This was our entry into the 2009 Jacksonville 48 Film contest. It was our second year in the competition, and it was a fun weekend of mosquitoes and torrential down pour but in the end we pulled it off. Marc Boese had this idea that we should use a puppet as our lead actor and let the hilarity ensue. I helped write and was key grip/P.A/All around helping hand. Also had a small role as the police officer in the end.
